Synopsis

Two estranged sisters torn apart by their differences suddenly find themselves working together towards a common goal in this heartwarming drama...For years, overachiever Terri (Kristy Swanson) and her idealistic sister, Mandy (Alberta Mayne), have kept their distance from each other, as well as from their parents' struggling florist business. But when a tragic turn of events brings both women home, they discover just how much they need one another in order to continue their family legacy. Filled with romance, humor and hope, it's an endearing story about making time for the ones you love.

Kristy Swanson - "Terri"

Swanson always dreamed of becoming an actress. Less than a year after moving to Los Angeles, she co-starred in two hit movies - FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF, with Matthew Broderick and Jennifer Gray and John Hughes' PRETTY IN PINK with Molly Ringwald, Jon Cryer and Annie Potts. Other motion picture credits include FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC with Academy Award-winning actress Louise Fletcher, HOT SHOTS! co-starring Charlie Sheen, Cary Elwes, THE PROGRAM with Halle Berry, James Caan and Omar Epps, 8 HEADS IN A DUFFEL BAG opposite Joe Pesci and David Spade, THE PHANTOM, co-starring Billy Zane and Treat Williams and HIGHER LEARNING, co-starring Jennifer Connelly and directed by John Singleton.

She was then cast in the leading role of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. The horror comedy dealt with a high school cheerleader, who discovers her calling as a vampire terminator. The cast included Donald Sutherland, Luke Perry, Rutger Hauer and Paul Reubens.

Kristy Swanson is a multi-talented motion picture and television actress, who enjoys challenging roles.. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to play an array of characters that are colorful and multi-dimensional. She continues to seek acting roles that are challenging and rewarding.

Kristy recalls that "Buffy was an 18 year-old senior, with no real values in her life. At first, she didn't want to become a slayer, but then she got into it, and wanted to rid the world of the undead. Luckily, I had a dance background which helped with all of those flying kicks; but I still ended up with lots of bruises and sore bones. Ten days of martial-arts training helped me survive scores of attacks by blood thirsty vampires."

Kristy later co-starred in the feature films BIG DADDY, co-starring as Adam Sandler's girlfriend and DUDE, WHERE'S MY CAR. Kristy Swanson has had considerable success on the small screen. She co-starred on the CBS-TV hit series KNOTS LANDING, NIGHTINGALES, B.L.STRYKER, with Burt Reynolds, RED WATER, co-starring Lou Diamond Phillips, ZEBRA LOUNGE opposite Stephen Baldwin, and SUPREME SANCTION with Michael Madsen, etc.

Notable TV guest appearances include CSI: MIAMI, JUST SHOOT ME!, EARLY EDITION, GROWING PAINS and CAGNEY & LACEY. Kristy Swanson is a beautiful, talented actress, who continues to seek innovative, challenging and richly rewarding roles in motion pictures and on television.


Danny Glover

Danny Glover - "Reverend John"

Actor, producer and humanitarian Danny Glover has been a commanding presence on screen, stage and television for more than 25 years. As an actor, his film credits range from the blockbuster LETHAL WEAPON franchise to smaller independent feature, some of which Glover also produced. In recent years he has starred in an array of motion pictures including the critically-acclaimed DREAMGIRLS directed by Bill Condon and in the futuristic 2012 for director Roland Emmerich. He also had roles in the comedy DEATH AT A FUNERAL for director Neil LaBute and in the moving drama DEAR ALICE for Swedish director Othman Karim.

Glover has gained respect for his wide-reaching community activism and philanthropic efforts. For these efforts Glover received a 2006 DGA Honor and was honored with a 2011 "Pioneer Award" from the National Civil Rights Museum. Internationally Glover has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program from 1998-2004. focusing on issues of poverty, disease and economic development in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Glover was presented in 2011 with the prestigious Medaille des Arts et des Letters from the French Ministry of Culture and was honored with a Tribute at the Deauville International Film Festival. Currently Glover serves as UNICEF Ambassador.

Danny also starred in SAW, FIVE MINARETS IN NEW YORK, DONOVAN'S ECHO and THE CHILDREN'S REPUBLIC.

On the small screen, Glover won an Image Award, a Cable ACE Award and earned an Emmy nomination for his performance in the title role of the HBO Movie MANDELA. He has also received Emmy nominations for his work in the acclaimed miniseries LONESOME DOVE and as a director he earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Showtime's JUST A DREAM. Most recently, Glover made guest appearances on the popular television series LEVERAGE and PSYCH.

Presently, Glover stars on the Fox Televison drama TOUCH and is in production on the HBO film MUHAMMAD ALI'S GREATEST FIGHT for director Stephen Frears.


Michael Shanks

Michael Shanks - "Sam"

Michael is well known for his role as Dr. Jackson on STARGATE SG-1 which ran for over 10 years. Shanks currently stars on NBC's new hit TV show SAVING HOPE. He has also co-starred in numerous films such as RED RIDING HOOD starring Amanda Seyfried and Gary Oldman, FACES IN THE CROWD starring Milla Jovovich and ELYSIUM which is set for a 2013 release and stars Oscar winners Matt Damon and Jodie Foster.


Anne Wheeler

Anne Wheeler - Director

Anne's early films were documentaries, though they often encompassed some form of performance and dramatic structure. GREAT GRAND MOTHER, her first film embraced the music of Ann Morifee and her Feature Documentary, A WAR STORY enticed the talent of Donald Sutherland to narrate.

Feeling limited by the boundaries of documentary film she decided to cross over to dramatic film. With so few women directing, she was determined not to fail those who followed and wanted to be absolutely prepared before committing to a long form drama. Her first Feature Film, LOYALTIES, a psychological thriller, was a critical success, winning awards in Houston, San Francisco, Toronto, Portugal, South Africa, Montreal, and of course, Alberta. Next she took on the task of writing and directing, COWBOYS DON'T CRY, which focused on a bull rider at odds with his son and his declining career.

She has since directed countless films and episodes of television. A few of her film credits include BYE BYE BLUES, ANGEL SQUARE, MARINE LIFE," starring Cybil Shepherd, EDGE OF MADNESS & CHRISTMAS ON CHESTNUT STREET, which garnered 4 Leo award nominations including Best Direction.

Wheeler directed the first three pilot episodes and numerous other episodes of " DA VINCI'S INQUEST. The ongoing series now airs internationally to rave reviews. The show went on to gather 34 wins & 53 award nominations, winning best Canadian series numerous times.

She also directed A SLEEP ROOM, a mini-series based on a book of the same name which won top honors at the Gemini Awards.
